News & Notes:

• A 23-year-old man was fatally shot on Memorial Day afternoon in the entrance of a Lincoln Heights plumbing supply store, according to CBS2.   L.A Now said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene in the 3600 block of Pasadena Avenue.

• Supporters of El Batey No. 2, the nearly 50-year-old Echo Park grocery store that is facing a steep rent increase, have organized a flash mob buying spree in support of the shop.

• How will Councilman Jose Huizar’s affair with former aide play out in his re-election campaign?  The Daily News takes a look at what female voters think of the issue.
